I absolutely love this breakfast/lunch spot! I'm always a sucker for these small owner run businesses. I feel like the staff usually all take pride in the business and that usually manifests itself through great customer service. That's exactly what we have here. The food is amazing and delicious but the service is even better. Our server went out of her way to make us feel welcome, especially with my kids. Always a big plus and a reason to come back.
Food- two words: awesome hash! Their hash is made with Yukon gold potatoes that are diced and come with your choice of meat and eggs. Pulled pork is one of my favorites but if they ever have the special smoked brisket, definitely go with that one! So good! They also have plenty of other delicious breakfast offerings to meet your needs. You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose.
One tip, if you have a larger party, you may want to call ahead to see what the seating situation looks like. It's a small place with few tables. Most of the seating is around this awesome lunch counter which definitely adds to the charm. -

This diner is consistently rated this high for a damn reason! Homemade, super fresh quality food at a great price and huge portions!!!
The buddy cakes which are a corn meal based pancake are a staple here. So damn good and huge.
Even the potatoes with green peppers and onions are so bomb!!
Seating is semi limited so if you have a group of 4 you may be seating at the breakfast bar but do it!!! It is worth it!
Service of course is amazing and I love supporting a local owned shop -

My husband and I were both looking for some breakfast on Labor Day and had planned on going to Bryn Mawr Breakfast Club, but we were a little late and the lines were ridiculous. So we came here instead and I am so happy that we did!
We arrived around 9:30am and there were only 2 other tables taken up. This place is small with about 5 two-seater tables lining the wall and 10 or so chairs at the diner.
We sat at the diner and our server asked for our drink orders immediately. We both ordered cold brews and were surprised at how smooth the coffee was!
We are currently both on carb restrictive diet and had no problem ordering off their menu. I ordered the bacon, date and goat cheese omelette with a size of fruit, and my husband ordered an omelet as well! This was probably the best omelet I've ever had, especially since I'm obsessed with bacon wrapped dates. The portion was perfect, as I cleaned off my plate (which I never do) or perhaps it was so good I couldn't let it go to waste? Either way, I'm coming back here ASAP. My husband wasn't able to finish his omelet. He was about 2/3 in and was too full to finish it.
The server was great - super funny and personable! She also let us know that if we did not want sides with our omelets (hashbrowns, toast/pancakes), that you do receive a discount! Which is amazing!!
Metered street parking is plenty!

I'm generally a fan of small diners but Edgebrook didn't really work for me. The diner is super homey and it's obviously family run by the looks of it (people were cooking in their sweaters and pajamas in the back). The service was super friendly and their menu is diverse enough to accommodate even the pickiest of tastebuds. But despite all that the food fell short for me.
We came on a super cold and rainy morning. Parking is not easy in this area. We ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla (chicken chorizo, eggs, hash browns) and the Breakfast Burger (burger patty, butter bun, egg, cheese, bacon, hash browns). Oh and an Espresso for my husband for good measure. I actually thought that breakfast burger was pretty good. It was hearty and super filling but how hard is it to mess up a breakfast burger? On the other hand, the breakfast quesadilla was a greasy and sloppy mess. It was super difficult to eat and the chorizo overwhelmed everything. The hash was just average also. Not cooked properly or evenly.
It's a cute diner with a lot of potential but I think the food needs to be more consistent. The decor and atmosphere is pretty fun though and they make a mean cup of coffee! 2/5 -

Diamond in the rough. Had the best omelet and breakfast potatoes here. Best I've had in years. I've cold brew coffee is an amazing touch. Friendly staff, slower service, but I'm not even going to knock a star off for that, because I came with a friend for brunch and chatting, no rush! Well be back, 100%.
